Citrex II is a lyophilized preparation of human plasma. Citrex II has been selectively depleted of the Vitamin K dependent coagulation factors. All of the plasma is collected in citrated anticoagulant and buffered to ensure stability.

Citrex II is a control plasma for quality assurance in prothrombin time (PT) and activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) testing. Citrex II verifies test performance in the moderately and extended ranges of coagulation.
