Biocompatibility Reagents
Bio/Data Corporation's UPTT™ reagent for non-activated Partial Thromboplastin Time Tests (PTT) provides the biocompatibility laboratory with standardized reagents for evaluating new and improved medical devices that meet the requirements for the ISO 10993 Biological Evaluation of Medical Devices.
UPTT™ Reagent is a lyophilized plasma preparation of rabbit brain cephalin. With UPTT™ integrated in hemocompatibility tests as part of a comprehensive, harmonized biological evaluation program, biocompatibility laboratories can assess the suitability of various platelet aggregation materials, devices, and processes.
Please refer to our Quality Systems and Standards for more information on how we ensure that our products meet the most stringent standards.
Quick Facts
- Lyophilized for long term storage and stability
- Derived from rabbit brain cephalin
- Perform non-activated Partial Thromboplastin Time (PTT)
- Measure contact activation of the “intrinsic” hemostatic pathway
- Measure contact activation of factors XI and XII
- Research Use Only
UPTT is a lyophilized preparation of rabbit brain cephalin. The standardized rabbit brain phospholipids concentration is ≤ 0.1%. The UPTT reagent supplies the phospholipids required for plasma coagulation by way of the intrinsic hemostatic pathway...
